CS Horseshoeing, Cathy Lesperance
Nowadays the idea of women being farriers isn't radical. But when Cathy Lesperance decided that she absolutely had to shoe horses for a living, it was much less common than today. She's been shoeing horses in Ontario for thirty-six years and when she decided that her current rig had more than fulfilled it's duties and it was time for a new one, she tapped Bay Horse Innovations of New York with the build. Her choice was to start with a twelve foot long 4 Star Trailer and chose Gene Velten and his team of craftsmen to create the interior to her exact specifications.
View of the custom interior of CS Horseshoeing rig for farrier Cathy Lesperance . This view gives a great idea of the efficiency of the work space with drill presses to the left, shoe racks up front.
Tucked up into the nose of the trailer a microwave sits up on top of a cabinet with a large slide out tray conveniently situated to the right.
Cathy opted for a Forgemaster hooded forge with a farrier bench just to the right. Not shown here is her anvil which will sit down in it's own spot on the bench which you can see in the above photo.
